CAPITOL NASHVILLE trio LADY ANTEBELLUM is gearing up for the release of their new album “Golden” with a variety of TV appearances.

On TUESDAY, MAY 7th, catch “LADY A” on ABC-TV’s “GOOD MORNING AMERICA” and the syndicated television program, “THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW.” That evening, the group will hold an album release party at NEW YORK CITY’s THE McKITTRICK HOTEL. The VIP event will be open to select fans, with donations benefitting the MUSICIANS ON CALL charitable organization.

On WEDNESDAY, MAY 8th and THURSDAY, MAY 9th, LADY ANTEBELLUM will appear on NBC-TV’s “LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON.” MONDAY, MAY 13th takes the group to the E! network’s “CHELSEA LATELY,” followed by an performance on NBC-TV’s “THE VOICE” on TUESDAY, MAY 14th.

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum announced last month that she and her husband Chris are expecting their first child.  At the time not many more details were offered, but now we’ve learned that Hillary is due in July.  She and Chris found out about the pregnancy the day before Thanksgiving, and while some people choose to wait until later in the pregnancy to share the news, Hillary says she and Chris decided, “We have faith that this baby’s gonna be healthy and beautiful and perfect , so let’s just kind of let everybody in on our excitement.”  She hasn’t learned the sex of the baby yet but she says, “We’re gonna find out what it is and it won’t be a secret… once we know, everybody will know.  It won’t be a secret.  I’m not good at keeping secrets.”

Fortunately, Hillary says the pregnancy has been pretty smooth so far.  She’s through her first trimester and she says, “It was easy in a lot of ways but I was exhausted.  I mean I slept like 18 hours a day.  It was crazy how all the energy is just sucked out of you.  But I’ve not had any sickness at all.  I haven’t loved food but I haven’t been sick so I’m extremely thankful for that.”  Now that her energy is coming back she’s working out and making sure she stays active because she says, “That’s only gonna help everything.  And I think that’s the most important thing when it comes to your diaphragm and singing and all of that.”

There has been one unexpected side effect of the pregnancy that Hillary is enjoying.  She says, “It wasn’t like this in the very, very beginning.  But now that I’m settling and starting to feel more comfortable with everything and how it’s changing, I’m more confident.  I sing more confident because I’m like, ‘I’m making a human.’  You know, it’s like there’s just something empowering and so awesome about that, so I definitely am more confident… I feel good.  I feel really good.”

Lady Antebellum will unveil a new single off their next album, which they hope to release in the spring, on Tuesday.  They plan to tour through mid-June before taking time off for Hillary to have the baby, but Charles is hopeful and the other two agree that they would like to look at maybe putting together a small tour in the fall.

The only thing better than touring the country and playing music is doing it with your spouse by your side. And although Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott gets to tour with her new hubby Chris Tyrrell, the two don’t get to spend much alone time together on the Lady A tour bus.

It’s not that Scott and her man don’t want to spend every second together — it’s that Tyrrell serves as the band’s drummer. And as Scott told Country Weekly, that’s not enough to give him a free pass onto the Lady A tour bus.

“He’ll hop on the bus with me, Charles [Kelley] and Dave [Haywood] every so often, but he rides the band bus with the rest of our band, because he wants to stay in tune with them,” she dishes.

Plus, Scott added that Lady A needs to have private conversations sometimes, too. “There are conversations that Charles and Dave and I need to have, too. You have to separate it a little bit, and thankfully — knock on wood and praise God — it’s been such a smooth transition,” she explains.

That’s right: Even though all three of Lady A’s members are married, they still share a tour bus. But that won’t stop Scott from sneaking off with her husband here and there during their first year of marriage — especially now that they’re expecting their first child together.

“I love all of us on the same bus, but because I’m with my husband a lot, and there is only so much time when there aren’t people around [for Chris and I] to talk and work through a first-year marriage. We’re going to leave the bus for a weekend or two here or there throughout next year,” she says. “Just because making sure that we’re on the same page really is what is most important in my life now.”

A shared love of music and dedication to making a marriage work? Sounds like Scott and Tyrrell are headed toward a lifetime of happiness.
